With over a decade of experience working alongside Deep Sur’s leadership, she has grown into her role of Governance Manager, shaping the policies, systems, and standards that hold the organisation together. Combining structural thinking and a love for problem- solving with genuine care for people, Andrea brings clarity to complexity and ensures that every moving part works in harmony.

Andrea Diaz has always been drawn to the satisfaction of finding the answer.
In her early life, she loved mathematics. Not just for the numbers, but for the clarity that came from working through each step until the answer was found. Later, she chose to study English. At first glance, it seemed like a different path entirely. But to Andrea, it was simply another form of problem-solving – this time, solving communication challenges instead of equations.
That thread has remained constant throughout her career. More than a decade ago, Andrea began her professional journey in administration, stepping into a role that gave her visibility across the inner workings of an organisation. She continually evolved through a steady progression of responsibility – taking ownership of new areas, becoming involved in shaping the internal framework of the organisation, and deepening her understanding of how systems, people, and processes intersect. Along the way, she formalised her expertise with degrees in translation and international trade, strengthening both her precision in communication and her ability to design structures that work.
This breadth of involvement gave her a holistic perspective: behind what appears to be a seamless operation lies thoughtful governance. Responsibilities clearly defined, risks anticipated, and teams empowered to act.
Today, as Governance Manager, Andrea designs and safeguards the frameworks that allow Deep Sur to operate with discipline and continuity. She develops policies, financial procedures, IT oversight, and operational guidelines – ensuring that work is done once, done properly, and built to last.
Andrea’s approach is consistent, both personally and professionally. She is the organiser, the planner, the one who ensures nothing is forgotten. That reliability translates into calm leadership and rigorous standards. For Andrea, governance is not about control. It is about care. The true reward is seeing a complex situation transformed into clarity, creating the conditions for people to grow and succeed with confidence.
